Golos Armenii
Golos Armenii, which translates to Voice of Armenia, is a Russian-language newspaper published in Yerevan, Armenia. It was founded in May 1991, almost simultaneously with the independence of the Republic of Armenia. The newspaper has strived to maintain the professional qualities of Soviet Armenian journalism while developing the skills and traditions appropriate for the press of an independent state. Golos Armenii has experienced the country’s most challenging periods, including the Karabakh wars and economic reforms, always adhering to a pro-state and pro-national approach. Today, it stands as one of the most established Russian-language newspapers in the post-Soviet space and is highly regarded within Armenia, with a readership spanning multiple countries. The newspaper prides itself on presenting diverse opinions while remaining committed to its declared professional and ethical values, offering quality and moral journalism for the benefit of the state and people. Golos Armenii remains a prominent player in Armenia’s public sphere, having been honored with numerous awards both domestically and internationally. Its main reward, however, is the sustained attention and trust of its readers, for whom the newspaper continues to work diligently.
